There isn’t a lot of motivation to dress up during the day if you happen to be a stay at home mom.  Someone will spill something on you, or you’ll have to sprint after a child who has suddenly decided it would be an awesome idea to scale a barbed wire fence.  I’ve been training to be a court appointed special advocate for kids in the foster care system.  Today, I have to go to court to observe the proceedings; it’s part of my training.  So I had to dress up a bit.  Jeans are not allowed, and I’m guessing that as hip as workout apparel is these days, the judge isn’t going to take me seriously in lululemon.  It felt good to get a little dressed up and because I also had yard duty this morning at school, my kids were suitably impressed by my outfit.  ”Mommy!” one of them said, “why do you look so  nice!?” I guess we’ll have to work on the compliments thing.

Anyway, here’s what I wore.  The outfit except for tights is from a resale store in Arizona, called My Sister’s Closet.  Whole thing, under $100. I’m also wearing my big girl hair.  No pony tail since I found the Conair Spin Brush.  In LOVE with that thing.  Also if anyone has a recommendation for a good tripod for a Canon rebel, let me know.  These camera phone photos don’t do the outfit justice.  :)
