Mint Denim for Spring

Mint, the color, is the color popping up for spring. At first when I saw it, I thought, no thanks. It’s too pastel, too child like, too easter egg-ish. But then I saw the below on Pinterest and thought, hmm, that’s pretty cute.

And tonight when I was at Marshall’s getting headphones for the kids, because every single pair we own is broken and we’re taking a long car ride on Friday, I spied these jeans. For $34. In my size. And this top for $19. And I thought, well what the hell.

These are by Blank Denim, one of my favorite brands.  The right amount of stretch and they hold their color.  I have a pair in red and they’ve been washed quite a bit and haven’t faded.

If you’re not up for that much mint, you can dip your toe in the mint with accessories, or a purse maybe.  It’s a flattering color on lots of people – darker and lighter skins look good in the cool, neutral color.

Mmmmm mint.
