About Dump Your Frump

Me at a wedding. Which means my hair was not in a ponytail. For once.

Hi I’m Tara!

I’m a mom of three, a writer and a recovering frump.  I started Dump Your Frump when I realized I was wearing work out clothes every day (regardless of whether I worked out) and had my hair in an unbrushed ponytail 362 days a year (the other days I attended weddings or funerals).

In my before kid days, I loved fashion and dressing up and even flossing my teeth (a little). And I aim to get back to those things in baby steps.

I focus on easy ways to get back to feeling and looking good again with tips and tricks and motivation tools to get going.  Occasionally, because I am still mired in child raising, I also include a few easy crafts and party ideas.

Want to connect?  You can email me at tara at dumpyour frump dot com.  You can also follow my Facebook fan page  for motivation, encouragement and advice from other recovering frumps.  I’d love to hear from you and find out what your biggest frumpy challenges are.  Here’s to dumping our frumps! :)

For the last 18 years I have been teaching people how to move and breathe. I spend a considerable amount of time in athletic gear.  I am a mom. I strive for grace and committed to not giving up. I think style doesn’t mean spending all your money and that it’s never to late to take baby steps back to glam. If you feel good about yourself what you wear or how you style your hair becomes less important anyway. I am committed to taking daily efforts to live a less frumpy life, and I hope to inspire others to dump their frump as well.  I am living the dream in Boulder, Colorado with my cold weather/cycling loving, husband and two awesome kids.  I am a voracious reader, a lover of power tools, mid-century design, dark chocolate and dance and I seldom put the cap on the toothpaste.
