About Dump Your Frump
Tara is a mom, a writer, a recovering frumpaholic and the one who cleans out the guinea pig cage because no one else will. She has three kids, twins who are five and a nine year old and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband. She founded Dump Your Frump when she realized she was wearing work out clothes every day (regardless of whether she worked out) and had her hair in an unbrushed ponytail 362 days a year (the other days she attended weddings or funerals). In her before kid days, she loved fashion and dressing up and even flossing. And she aims to get back to those things in baby steps. She is currently training to become a court appointed child advocate for foster children in her county. So at the very least, she’ll have to wear real clothes to court.
Jody is a Style section contributor and coaches our Facebook fans with Daily Group Efforts back to feeling and looking good. She grew up on a farm where she mostly wore Mork N Mindy t-shirts and overalls, but is determined this will not be her legacy. She has three children, who are both her joy and despair and has left her wallet in the shopping cart at least 8 times that she will confess to. She blames her children. She is on a frump dumping mission and is full of awesome tips and tricks for putting outfits together, finding your best look, and carving out a little time to pamper (even if pampering means putting your makeup on in the car when you’re waiting for karate to get out).
Jolene is a mother of two and a pilates and movement instructor. Because she’s always working out she always looks hot and never has a frumpy day. Actually that’s a lie. She’ll tell you she has frumpy days all the time. But this summer she cut off 8 inches of hair and made a solemn oath to wear real pants and find her bliss. Jolene helps with outreach and fitness tips. Fun fact: She is also Jody’s cousin.
